VEEDERSBURG — Clarence James Andrews, 89, Veedersburg, died at 5:03 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2001 in St. Clare Hospital, Crawfordsville. He was born July 4, 1912 in Danville, Ill., the daughter of Leon H. and Ona White Andrews. He married Ruth Naomi Howard Oct. 11, 1936 in Veedersburg. He preceded in death Dec. 15, 1996. He retired from A & P Foods, where he worked as a stock manager. He was a member of the Sterling Christian Church in Veedersburg and the Veedersburg Masonic F & AM Lodge #491. Survivors include: a son, James H. (Shay) Andrews, San Diego, Calif., grandchildren, Michael J. Andrews, San Diego, Calif., Dawn (Michael) Bier, Phoenix, Ariz. and J. Rick (Martha) Andrews, Chula Vista, Calif., and great-grandchildren, Tyler, Courtney, Trevor and Kelsey Bier, Alex and Ryan Andrews. Funeral services were at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Dickerson Funeral Home, Veedersburg, with the Rev. Larry Sims officiating. Burial was in Rockfield Cemetery, Veedersburg. Preferred memorials to the Sterling Christian Church, Veedersburg. – jlr
